Pollença Museum is located in the old Dominican convent. It was built between 1588 and 1616. The Dominican monks lived in the convent until 1836, when it was closed as a result of the confiscation of church property by the state. Since then, the convent has been used for several activities. For the last 25 years it has become a culture centre which holds classical music concerts and theatre plays. It also houses the Pollença Museum.
